- Spearheaded a successful application to host a Junior Team before the 2006 World Junior Hockey Championships in Vancouver
- In conjunction with the Powell River Regals and Kings, hosted the Norwegian World Junior Hockey Team, which included an exhibition game against Team USA
- Helped secure funding for the creation of the Powell River Volunteer Centre ($20,000) and the launch of the Opera Academy of the Pacific ($20,000) through 2010 LegaciesNow
- Hosted workshops with local businesses on how to benefit from the hosting of the 2010 Games
- Built a new website and marketing materials (Including an interactive CD) which have been distributed to Athens, Japan, Norway and at the 2006 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy
- Developing a gift basket program using local products
- Assisted the City of Powel River in its successful bid to host the 2007 BC Disability Games
